hey all, not much activity I see however I just thought I'd drop in and say I think this a cute idea. I feel pity for all of you who still have to suffer the unflattering skirts, since I am a senior I can wear the navy blue pants, than God I no longer have to deal with the skirts (mine are 5 different shades of blue and white...I know that is appaling)
I hope to see more activity.

Well, since we now have four members, yay, maybe we should do some introducing.

My name is Jenn and I went to Catholic school from pre-kindergarten up to 8th grade. We wore increasingly narrowing uniforms from kindergarten until 8th grade and I still love my skirt. On some fluke, even with plaids being copyrighted by companies, I found a tie in almost the exact same plaid. Even now at the public high school, I don this get up every blue moon or two.

I created this community because I noticed that no matter how integrated into public education, there are aspects of private education that stick with people. Some of these are good, some are bad.

In the time I'm not on the computer, I'm reading, drawing, watching movies, listening to music, all that regular teenage stuff. I do enjoy making jewelry and being part of my school's Scholars' Bowl team. Not to mention skanking my little heart out to ska music.

And just so you know what I look like, here's a picture.

Welcome to skirts_and_ties, a community for former or current private school students. Love or loathe the private school, students there are just different from public schools. Here is a place to share stories, photos, or just meet others like yourself.

Please promote.
